The growth of Vietnam economy and the rich heritage attracts a lot of people to the country. Vietnam has entered into agreements for reciprocal exemption from applying for a visa with 17 countries. In-spite of the good relations shared by these two countries San Marino citizens have to apply for a visa to enter the country. There a few exemptions that are applicable to the San Marino citizens, you should get acquainted with those before applying for a visa. There are two ways of obtaining a visa; you may apply for an embassy visa or a VOA.

Applying for an embassy visa:

The major route for applying for a visa is through the embassy. San Marino does not have its own Vietnam embassy making it difficult for the citizens. You may contact an embassy in the neighboring countries to complete the procedure. You may approach embassies in Italy, France, Greece, Germany, etc. Understand the different procedures and select the one that is most comfortable for you.

1) Once you have selected an embassy, start the application procedure. The basic procedure is to fill the application form, affix a photo and submit the relevant documents.

2) It won’t be feasible to visit the embassy and hence it is advised to select an embassy which accepts applications via post. Select a reliable postal service that provides tracking facility as you will be sending your original passport.

3) You have to pay an application fee for the procedure, confirm the currency and amount before applying.

4) The entire process takes about 5-7 days but you will have to account for the time taken by international postal service.

5) An embassy visa is applicable for all routes of travel.

Applying for a VOA:

It is clear that applying for an embassy visa is tiresome and less economical. Hence it would be more sensible to apply for a VOA (Visa on Arrival) through an agency like ours. The process is explained below:

1) Fill in the application form online and pay the application fee. This fee will depend on the type of visa and duration of stay. No documents have to be submitted when applying through this method.

2) We take care of the further process. The application form is forwarded to the immigration department who after verifying the documents give an approval letter which is emailed to you by us. This approval letter and a valid passport is all that is needed to board a flight to Vietnam.

3) Once you reach one of the major airports like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang, an immigration officer would check your approval letter and compare it with your passport. Once, verified the officer will stamp your visa.

4) The entire process takes only 2-3 days.

5) This visa is however valid only- for air travel, for other route apply for an embassy visa.
