Methods of Procurement of Visas
There are basically two methods by which a visa can be procured.
Method 1
In the first method, the user has to visit the embassy website and then fill the visa application online. With the application duly filled, he needs to submit the same. The embassy officials handle the visa requests. After the application is processed, a visa approval letter is generated. This letter is then emailed to the applicant. The individual can download the letter and get a print copy of the same. He or she then needs to visit the embassy (which he /she have mentioned as an option). There, the person needs to collect the visa upon payment of the processing fee.
If the person is travelling by air then he can carry the visa approval letter along with him and on arriving at the Vietnam international airport, can get the visa on arrival facility.
Method 2
The second method is a bit tiresome as compared to the previous one. In this process the user has to search for the online visa agency in Vietnam and then request for a visa to visit Vietnam with all the travel related documents including the passport. There, the person will get the necessary instructions to complete all the paperwork and other formalities before submitting the documents for visa processing. Within 1 - 2 working days, they will email you the visa approval letter from Vietnam Immigration Department which allow you pick up your visa at international airport of Vietnam.
With the visa approval letter in hand, you just need take a flight to Vietnam then get visa on arrival at international airport.
