- Best way for Montenegro Citizens to get Vietnam visa without going to embassy : Apply for getting visa on arrival Vietnam

If you are a citizen or passport holder of Montenegro and wish to visit Vietnam, you will have to obtain Visa. There are two simple ways in which a foreign citizen can obtain Visa – he can either contact the Embassy of Vietnam in his country or apply for Visa on Arrival. Vietnam does not have an embassy in Montenegro and for this reason the procedure of Visa application through the embassy is a little complicated for the citizens of Montenegro.

• Apply through the embassy

Since Vietnam does not have an embassy in Montenegro, citizens who wish to travel to Vietnam will have to contact the Embassy of Vietnam in a neighboring country. At the embassy you will be taken through a step by step procedure on Visa application. You will be required to fill the Visa application form and submit one recent passport sized photograph, one self-addressed envelope and your original passport along with the form. In addition, you will have to pay the Visa fees. This fees can be paid in favor of the Embassy of Vietnam by way of money order or cashier’s check.

The embassy will take at least five working days to process your documents. After the documents are processed, you will be issued a fully stamped Visa. The biggest benefit of applying for Visa through the embassy is that you will have the Visa in your hands before your departure to Vietnam. However, this process is too time consuming and expensive.

You can also get in touch with the embassy officials to know if the process can be facilitated through postal mail. However, if you decide to apply for Visa through correspondence, you will have to send in all your documents through postal mail, which means you stand to lose your valuable documents such as your original passport if your package is misplaced or lost in transit.

• Apply for Visa on Arrival

Visa on Arrival is the most convenient option for the citizens of Montenegro citizens. It is easier, faster and more affordable. In order to apply for Visa on Arrival, you will have to get in touch with a travel agent based in Vietnam. You will be required to fill an online application form on the travel agent’s website. The form will ask for details such as your name, occupation, duration of stay, purpose of visit etc. When filling up the purpose of visit section, you will have to choose from options such as business, tourist and transit. A business Visa offers validity of one month, three months or six months. A tourist Visa offers a validity of one month and transit Visa offers validity of less than five days.

Once your online application form is processed, you will be issued a letter of approval. This letter of approval will have to be submitted at the Visa on Arrival counter of the Vietnamese airport you arrive in. Along with the letter, you will have to submit the Visa stamping fees.

It is to be noted that the Visa on Arrival facility is extended only to those travelers who arrive in Vietnam by air. Those taking land routes must carry all their documents with them while travelling. In case of a cruise ship, the cruise authorities can be contacted for information on Visa on Arrival.
