Does a citizen of Bahrain require a visa for visiting Vietnam ?

Citizens of Bahrain do require a visa for visiting Vietnam like several other countries. Citizens from the below mentioned countries are exempt from visa requirements for entering Vietnam for a limited number of days as mentioned below, other than these mentioned countries nationals of all other countries require a visa for visiting Vietnam. In case there is no Vietnam Embassy or consulate at the country in question, then the people aspiring to visit Vietnam can either apply for visa through the nearest embassy or consulate at the neighboring country or apply for a VOA i.e. Visa On Arrival, that will be handed to them on their arrival at the airport in Vietnam. 

Here is a list of the countries whose citizens can enter Vietnam visa free for a designated number of days within a 30 days cycle.  

• Citizens of Brunei and Myanmar can enter Vietnam and stay visa free for a period of 14 days beyond which they will be required to apply for a Vietnam visa.

• Citizens of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Japan and Korea South are allowed visa exempt entry and stay for a period of 15 days beyond which they are required to apply for a visa.

• The citizens of Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Malaysia can remain in Vietnam without needing a visa for a period of 30 days. 

• And citizens of Philippines can remain in Vietnam for 21 days without needing a visa. 

A noteworthy point here is that nationals of the above mentioned countries will only be allowed to remain visa free for the mentioned days and have to exit out of Vietnam for at least 30 days to avail the visa free entry again. If they return to Vietnam in less than 30 days then they are required to apply for a Vietnam visa.
