Some Information and Procedure to Get Visa at Embassy of Vietnam in Montenegro

Vietnam does not have an embassy in Montenegro. Usually, there are two ways in which a foreign national can obtain Visa to Vietnam. He can either contact the Embassy of Vietnam in his country for Visa application or apply for Visa on Arrival. Since Montenegro does not have an embassy of Vietnam, the Visa application process is a little complicated for the citizens of the country. If you are a citizen of Montenegro and wish to apply for Visa to Vietnam through the embassy, you will have to get in touch with an embassy of Vietnam in a neighboring country. This can be quite a costly affair as you will have to travel to the embassy location.

At the embassy, you will have to fill up the Visa application form in English. You will also to mention the place of collection and submission of the Visa as in Vietnam. Along with the duly filled form, you will have to submit one recent passport sized photograph, one self-addressed envelope and your original passport. Your passport must have at least six months validity and a few spare pages for stamping purposes. Besides filling up the form and submitting the documents, you will also have to pay the Visa fees. This fees can be paid in favor of the Embassy of Vietnam by way of money order or cashier’s check.

The embassy will take at least five working days to process your documents, after which you will be issued a fully stamped Visa. The major benefit of applying for Visa through the embassy is that you will have a fully stamped Visa in your hands before departing for Vietnam. However, this approach is too time consuming and expensive.

If you do not wish to travel to a foreign location, you can get in touch with the embassy officials to know if the Visa application process can be facilitated through postal mail. However, this procedure too has its own risks. If you decide to apply for Visa to Vietnam by correspondence, you will have to send in all your documents through postal mail. This means that you could lose valuable documents such as your original passport if your package is misplaced or lost in transit.

The easiest and most convenient way for citizens of Montenegro to apply for Visa to Vietnam is by applying for Visa on Arrival. In order to apply for Visa on Arrival, you will have to get in touch with a travel agent based in Vietnam. You will be required to fill up an online form with your details such as name, occupation, purpose of visit, duration of stay etc. While filling in the purpose of stay section, you will have to choose from options such as business, tourist and transit.

A business Visa can give you validity of one month, three months or six months. A tourist Visa can give you validity of one month and a transit Visa can give you validity of less than five days. Once the online application form is processed, you will be issued a letter of approval.

On reaching Vietnam, you will have to produce this letter of approval at the Visa on Arrival counter of the airport you arrive in. You will also have to pay the Visa stamping fees to collect your Visa on Arrival document.
