Some Information and Procedure to Get Visa at Embassy of Vietnam in China

To travel to Vietnam from a foreign location, you will have to obtain a full Visa stamp from the Vietnamese embassy. The standard procedure for obtaining Visa is through the embassy or consulate, fill up the required forms etc. However, that is quite a long drawn process and will require you to visit the embassy or consulate multiple times. This becomes particularly difficult if you live in a country or place, where the Vietnamese consulate or embassy is not present.

In such a case, usually people travel to another location where the Vietnamese consulate is present and then apply for Visa. But with the introduction of the Visa on Arrival online facility, the trouble of having to travel long distances and invest a lot of time has become obsolete. More and more people now prefer the Visa on Arrival  or VoA system.

The VoA system is not a full Visa. You will have to get in touch with an agent in Vietnam to get hold of an approval letter for Visa. This letter has to be then presented at the Vietnam airport you will land at and then collect your Visa.

Visa Processing Fee

Along with the letter of approval, you will have to pay the Visa processing fees. The amount depends on your duration of stay and the kind of Visa you are applying for. For a period of  30 days or 90 days single entry Visa, you will have to pay an amount of US $45. For 30 day multi entry Visa, you will have to pay US $65, US $95 for a 30 day or more multi-visit Visa. Once the VoA is issued, it hold the same importance as that of a full stamp Visa.

With the online Visa application system in place, applying for Visa on Arrival has become very easy. Also, it saves a lot of time and effort and hence more and more people are now showing preference for the Visa on Arrival system than physically visiting an embassy or consulate and applying for Visa. You can find a reliable agent to help you with the Visa application process.

You will have to log on to your preferred agents website. You will be asked to enter your personal details such as name, nationality, date of birth, occupation, passport details, proposed date of arrival, flight details, purpose of visit etc. Another important thing to remember is that if you have children travelling with you, you will have to apply for Visa and pay the same fees as you would for an adult.

Agency charges may vary depending on the number of days you are planning to spend in Vietnam and the kind of Visa you are applying for. Once you have filled in all the details, you will redirected to a secure payment gateway. The approval letter is usually sent in a time of two to three days. This approval letter can be submitted at the Visa counter at the Vietnam airport you arrive in to collect your Visa.

Interestingly, not all Chinese passport holders cannot apply for Visa on Arrival. If you are a Chinese citizen and travelling from countries such as Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore etc., you can apply for Visa on Arrival. However, if you are travelling from China mainland, you will have to get your Visa before travelling.
