Some information & procedure to get visa at embassy of Vietnam in Botswana

Vietnam has been developing good diplomatic relations with a number of countries including Botswana. However these two countries do not share reciprocal agreements for visa exemptions making it compulsory for Botswana citizens to possess a visa to enter Vietnam and vice-versa. Based on the diplomatic relations Vietnam Visa Policy does cover a few exceptions for Botswana citizens. If you are not exempt from applying for a visa you will either have to approach an embassy or apply for a VOA through an agency like ours.

The conventional way of obtaining a visa is through an embassy. Botswana is not one of the 70 countries with Vietnam Embassies making the process tedious and less economical. The process of obtaining an embassy visa is explained below:

1) Find out about Vietnam embassies in neighboring countries. There are Vietnam embassies in Angola, South Africa, Nigeria, Tanzania, etc. Each country has different process for applying for a visa. So you may visit their website or contact them to learn about their process. This will help you to shortlist an embassy which has the simplest procedure and will help you to decide an embassy to send your visa request.

2) Even with some difference in application process of different countries the overall process is still similar. Fill the application form and submit your passport, photograph along with it. Some embassies accept online application forms. It would be wiser to select an embassy which gives you this option. Select a good postal service for sending all the documents. When opting for a postal service make sure that they are reliable, as you will be submitting original passport with other documents, and that they allow tracking of the envelope.

3) You have to pay a processing fee. This will depend on the type of visa and duration of the stay.

4) Once the embassy receives the application form it takes about 5 to 7 days for processing but it may take some more days depending on the efficiency of the postal service.

5) Once you receive your visa check for any errors in the details and, if they are present, contact the embassy for alteration.

6) This visa is valid for all routes, namely, air, water or road.

It is apparent that obtaining a visa from an embassy is tedious and less economical. Unless you plan to visit Vietnam by water or roadways, an easier alternative is present, i.e. VOA. You may contact an agency like ours for the same. All you have to do is fill an application form and pay the processing charges; the rest of the process is taken care of by us. VOA is stress free as you do not have to submit you documents. There is only one downside for this process that it is limited to airways.

If you want a hassle free process you should contact us to help you get a VOA. With the expertise that we have gained after helping many applicants like you we will make the process quite smooth.
