Mandatory prerequisite for Visa
Before applying for the Vietnam visa, the Austrian citizens are required to possess certain mandatory documents without which the procedure remains incomplete. These essential documents are as follows:
• A valid passport for at least 6 months along with minimum two blank pages for online application (For citizens applying through Vietnam Embassy, the minimum validity of passport is required to be one month).
• Two visible and clear Passport size photographs.
• The approval letter issued by the Immigration Department of Vietnam, if applying online through travel agencies.
Types of Charges
Basically, two types of charges are required to be paid by the Austrian citizens while applying for Vietnam visa. These charges are as follows-
• Service Charge: In case of online booking, it is required to be paid at the time of applying through any of the online medium of payment including credit card, debit card, western union or Pay Pal. However, in case of applying through Vietnam Embassy the citizens can pay directly through cash. The service charge is particularly meant to obtain the approval from the Immigration Department of Vietnam.
• Stamp Charge: Stamp fee is levied by the Immigration department to get the stamp on passport. In case of online application, this stamping charge is required to be paid in person through cash at the time of arrival at airport. However, in case of applying through Vietnam Embassy, this charge is required to be paid along with the service charge at the time of application.
