Built in 1812, Hanoi Flag Tower consists of three platforms and a high tower where a pole of flag is placed on the top. On the top edge of the eastern door of the tower there are two words engraved called Nghenh Huc. They are the Vietnamese words which mean “welcoming dawn’s sunlight”. Meanwhile, on the western door there are two words named Hoi Quang that have meaning of reflecting light as well as Huong Minh which means “directed to the sunlight”, is placed on the southern door.
Especially, there are many windows on the body of Hanoi Flag Tower, were sophisticatedly created to gets sunlight in daytime. They are included 36 flower-shaped and 6 fan-shaped windows that make this tower a beautiful tourist destination of Hanoi capital. {itpsharepoint}
